Young Producers Meet in Fairmont for Montana Farm Bureau YF&R Leadership Conference

January 31, 2023

Having a career in Agriculture isn’t an easy task; especially for young people. That’s why the Montana Farm Bureau Young Farmer & Rancher Committee held its YF&R Leadership Conference this past weekend at Fairmont Hot Springs to give young people interested in Agriculture an opportunity to network with others and more.

"The biggest takeaway for me is the ample opportunity to network and have ideas that someone else is doing or may have like barriers to entry," said MFBF Young Farmers & Ranchers chair Nick Courville, a rancher from Charlo. "So, we can come to this event and visit with 100 people about what they're doing to stay in agriculture, because there's not very many of us where it's our full time job, right? We all go back to the to the town job or whatever that we're doing, or we have one spouse that works in town. For me, it's just a networking ability. The conference committee did a super good job and the idea was value added. What value can you take back to your operation, whether it be yourself, your operation where you work every day at your job? What can you bring back after leaving here?"

The 2023 Farm Bureau FUSION Conference will bring together an estimated 1,000 young agricultural leaders from across the country in Jacksonville, Fla., March 3-6, to learn, share and grow together to build a stronger Farm Bureau. For more information, click here.
