Notice of Public Hearing for Lewistown Livestock Auction Change of Ownership in Central Montana

On September 18, 2020, at 1:00 p.m., the Department of Livestock will hold a public hearing at the Lewistown Livestock Auction in Lewistown Montana, to receive public comment regarding the below stated request. Lindsey Simon, Agency Legal Services, has been designated to preside over and conduct this hearing. 

On August 28th, 2020, Kyle and Jodie Shobe submitted a petition letter to request a change in name and ownership of license for Lewistown Livestock Auction in Lewistown, MT. Additionally, Lyle and Jan Allen, submitted a petition letter also requesting approval for the change in ownership to Mr. and Mrs. Shobe. Per Administrative Rule of Montana 32.15.104, changes to new ownership of a livestock market are subject to approval by the Board of Livestock and require a public hearing.
