President Trump's Trade Agenda Discussed at Wyoming Cattle Industry Convention

June 4, 2025

President Trump’s trade policies continue to dominate the headlines. During the Wyoming Cattle Industry Convention in Laramie, NCBA Executive Director of Government Affairs Kent Bacus told cattle producers that there’s a big difference between President Trump and former President Biden’s trade agenda.

He says there’s a lot riding on these trade deals and it’s a risk worth taking.

Meanwhile, as Trump’s trade war continues with key trading partners like Canada, China and Mexico, the USDA is now projecting no improvement in the U.S. agricultural trade outlook for fiscal 2025 as the department lowered its forecast for livestock product exports, offsetting increases for grains and oilseeds.
