Montana Beef Council and Wendy’s Celebrate National Beef Month Partnership
May 26, 2026
As families across Montana mark National Beef Month and kick off the summer grilling season, the Montana Beef Council is highlighting a valuable partnership with Wendy’s restaurants across the state.
Montana Beef Council Executive Director Chaley Harney says the partnership helps stretch beef checkoff dollars while promoting beef demand.
“Wendy’s has been such a valuable partner for Montana Beef Council,” Harney said. “Not only do they help us achieve our mission of increasing demand for beef, but they also help us leverage our investment by a dollar-for-dollar match.”
Harney says that match is especially important when the council is working to maximize the investment made by Montana cattle producers.
“We try to make very diligent decisions,” Harney said. “Our board members are the ones making those decisions… and Wendy’s is one of our only partners like this that is able to leverage that dollar for dollar.”
Wendy’s Director of Marketing Jonna Jones says the restaurant team is excited to once again partner with the Montana Beef Council during May Beef Month.
“We were so lucky to partner with the Montana Beef Council again this year to celebrate May being National Beef Month,” Jones said. “We really turned up the heat with our promotion and featured our new Jalapeno Ranch Cheeseburger.”
Jones says beef continues to be a favorite protein on the Wendy’s menu.
“Our team members love when we roll out this promotion,” Jones said. “They look forward to it every May.”
She says Wendy’s also takes pride in the quality of beef served in its restaurants.
“We use 100% fresh, never frozen square patties on every burger every day in our restaurant,” Jones said.
As summer gets underway, Harney encourages consumers to keep beef on the menu at home, on the grill, and on the go.
“Beef has ten essential nutrients, one single ingredient, and it’s nature made,” Harney said. “Consumers can feel good about choosing beef because research shows that it can be part of a healthy, daily, active lifestyle.”
