On Monday, Superior Livestock Video hosted the 2024 Bellringer sale in Oklahoma City, OK. Offering over 106,000 head of cattle.

Market Trends:

Cattle futures have continued with a bearish trend, impacting moderate demand for feeder cattle.
Good demand persists for lighter weight cattle, especially in areas with favorable pasture conditions due to moisture in the wheat country.

Supply Distribution:

Supply breakdown: 53% from South Central, 23% from North Central, 3% from Northeast, 19% from West, and 2% from Southeast.
Current delivery is 14 days from the last day of the video sale, up to and including January 26, 2024.
Deliveries are current through September 2024.

Supply Composition:

100% Feeder Cattle: 46% Steers, 10% Dairy Steers, 36% Heifers, 0% Bulls, 9% Dairy Heifers.
0% Replacement Cattle: 27% Bred Cows, 73% Bred Heifers.

Feeder Cattle Weights:

Feeder cattle over 600 lbs constitute 75% of the supply.
